The Lesley Pearse author website was created to provide an online presence for one of Penguin Books this leading authors. It was developed and launched in January 2010 under strict guidelines and input from key stakeholders - Publishers, Agents and Penguin's Marketing MD - as well as the author herself. Lesley had a clear idea or what she wanted to achieve as well as how she wished it to look.
Created for an slightly more mature demographic, it was clear from the outset that this was a site that didn't require over-worked technical trickery. It needed to be clear, with obvious signposting and easily navigated, promoting both current and backlist titles written by Lesley.
The site was a huge success and gratefully received by the all involved as well as Lesley herself. She has since become a prolific 'tweeter', truly engaging with her audience online and via social media platforms. Together with the website launch, a bespoke newsletter was also designed, created and circulated to her loyal fans on a monthly basis.
Intially held on Penguin's microsite servers, some years later it was transported over to a WordPress enviroment where Lesley managed the site herself.
